OctoberVille: Fall in Love with Leadville & Twin Lakes
October is a special time in Leadville. The summer crowds have slowed, the aspens are turning, the air is crisp, and our local shops, restaurants, bars, makers, and small businesses are still here – ready to welcome you.
OctoberVille is a month-long celebration of Autumn in Leadville and an invitation to locals and visitors alike to get out, have some fun, and support the small businesses that make our community such a great place to live and visit.

Throughout October, you’ll find special events, local shopping, food and drink, family fun, fall activities, and plenty of reasons to explore downtown. When the sun goes down, things get a little spookier with SpookyVille, featuring Halloween happenings, haunted fun, and all the wonderfully weird ways Leadville celebrates the season.
Why does it matter?
Fall is one of Leadville’s quieter seasons, and those quieter months can be challenging for businesses that depend on a strong year-round local economy. Choosing to grab dinner downtown, buy a gift from a local shop, meet friends for a drink, attend an event, or make a fall weekend out of Leadville makes a real difference.
Come for the fall colors. Stay for the fun. Shop local, eat local, explore Leadville – and help keep our small business community strong all year long.

Why are we hosting Octoberville?
After a slow winter and the Willow Fire we want to encourage more foot traffic and spending in our local businesses.

Do I need to sign up to participate?
No. But if you are hosting an event/special/fall promotion and want us to promote it as a part of OctoberVille please submit your event no later than August 24th at the button above. However, if you want to participate in the gift card program, you do need to sign up to be a participating business.
Do I need a permit to host an event?
It depends. Reach out to Andrew Cummins (acummins@leadville-co.gov) if your event is in the city. Or Sarah Bushman (sbushman@lakecountyco.gov) in the county.
